Maintenance Coordinator

Position Summary:

Under the general supervision of the Facilities Manager, the Maintenance Coordinator supports the Facilities Department by maintaining an inventory of equipment, parts and devices. This position will also support corporate objectives by providing and managing the preventative maintenance program and addressing requests for repairs at all Bently properties and locations.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Maintain inventory and issue equipment for the Facilities Department in assigned area(s), and assure equipment and devices are in proper condition prior to usage.  
  • Maintain, manage, update inventory, and stock/restock equipment and supplies at least weekly or as needed.
  • Verify quantity of items received against invoices and physically sorts and counts products by like item to ensure accurate inventory.
  • Responsible for organizing how and where materials are stored while maintaining an efficient system to locate items.
  • Maintains accurate records of maintenance activities and other required documents.
  • Coordinates preventative maintenance (PM) of all buildings, grounds and utility systems.
  • Issues and documents PM’s to Facilities Technicians I/II and Control Automation Specialists.
  • Receives Facilities Department repair tickets and assign/distribute to designated Facilities Technician(s).
  • Use Company-provided system(s) to enter, track, and document work; run reports, as required.
  • Responsible for alerting and keeping supervisor well informed of activities, results or efforts, and problems/potential problems identified; recommend corrective action to supervisor.
  • Ability to operate forklift, pallet jack, vehicles, and other needed equipment.
  • Assist Facilities Department with special projects, as needed.
  • Performs routine repair work, upkeep and other general building maintenance, as assigned.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned or deemed necessary by the business.


Special Licenses and/or Certificates:

  • Valid Driver’s License with ability to meet company’s insurance requirements
  • Forklift Operation Certification.

Education and/or Experience:

High School Diploma or GED equivalent
1-3 years of general maintenance or warehouse related work experience.

Computer Skills:

Basic knowledge of personal computers and peripherals, word processing and spreadsheet software, e-mail and the Internet.
Basic knowledge of inventory and parts management.

Other Skills and Qualifications:

Demonstrates, understands, and coaches others on safety and follows the key essentials to safety as set forth by our safety resolution.
Able to operate material handling equipment.
Understands and follows established safety guidelines, consistently complies with all safety procedures, such as, but not limited to, Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO), Process Safety Management (PSM), dock lock procedures, etc.
Able to perform quality work efficiently with minimal supervision.

Extend arm(s) in any direction.
Subject to substantial repetitive motions of the body or its parts.
Exert up to 30 pounds of force occasionally, up to 15 pounds of force frequently, and up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
